In the context of our typography course I redesigned the cover of the known bestseller «Das Parfum». The demand was to stay minimalistic thus I didn't use photographs or colors.

I applied semantic typography to show the ease and lightness as well as the impermanence of smells. Deliberately I left out the subtitle «The story of a murderer», which can only be seen on the inside of the wrapper. So a moment of surprise comes out – fitting to the unpredictable actions of the lunatic protagonist.
